Outdoor Hula Class Set to Ignite Passion for Fitness in Loughborough
A HEALTH-boosting bus and a mob of hula hoopers will roll into Loughborough to launch a week of events designed to help people get fit in 2012 for just £1.
Charnwood Borough Council’s Active Together team is taking part in the county-wide Move More 4 Less week, from Monday, January 16 to Sunday, January 22, 2012, which offers a massive range of activities for £1 or less.
To launch the week-long campaign, a Change 4 Life bus will stop in Market Street on Thursday, January 12, packed with advice, information and details about how to live a healthier life.
And a squad of hula hoop fanatics will attempt to get shoppers to take part in an impromptu hulaerobic session.
Councillor David Snartt, Charnwood Borough Council’s Cabinet member for Neighbourhood Services, said: “This is yet another great opportunity for residents to take advantage of massive discounts on a range of activities to help them kick off the new year with a feast of fitness and exercise.
“Whether you want to burn off some extra festive calories or try something new, there’s sure to be something to suit everyone for no more than £1.”
Activities include line dancing, aerobics, a tai chi taster session, seated exercise, yoga, urban boot camp, new age bowls, family geocaching, Nordic walking, all for just £1 or even free.
